20" Merry Andrew archaic for Court Jester is a fool for Spring. He has 6 joints including a double jointed neck and made of 5 types of imported plush fur. He is intricately scissor trimmed and needled sculpted including his big toes, full cheeks and nicely rounded muzzle and chin. His nose is covered leather while his huge glass eyes are hand painted with two colors (orange and green) and set in leather eyelids with eyeliner. He has large dark brown lop ears lined with ivory velour. He is hand colored throughout. Merry Andrew wears a triple breasted jester tail coat made of 7 colors of felt each edged in a spring green blanket stitch. Two different floral appliqués adorn the front and back of his jacket. A green checked bowtie sits on his white wool felt collar with green edging and appliquéd daisies. A gold fob watch hangs from his jacket front. Merry Andrew wears an oversized lavender beret with two plumed feathers. His cane is painted to match and is topped with an egg. Merry Andrew carries a striped sugar egg at Easter time and a yellow polka dotted tea pot the rest of the year. He confers with "Happy Glow" his newest feathered friend. |
