21" Raffi is a happy panda clown. He is made from two colors of alpaca fabric. This long, soft, and extra dense fur is wonderfully cuddly, and is perfect for the scissor sculpting done on Raffi's face. Raffi's happy expression is the result of several special techniques which include careful scissor sculpting, subtle airbrushing, an embroidered pearl cotton nose, and Tami's signature needle sculpted hand-painted open mouth. His characteristic panda eye patches are created with an airbrush as well. At the end of his gently curved arms and legs he has appliquéd, trapunto-sculpted paw pads made of soft Ultrasuede. These are airbrush shaded for added depth. These time consuming techniques create a paw pad which not only looks real, but feels as if you are touching the soft paws of your dog or cat (or bear if you have one!) Raffi is five-way jointed to allow for playful posing, and he's stuffed with a combination of polyfil and plastic pellets for a nice weight and delightfully huggable feel. Raffi wears a double layered clown collar made with coordinating fabrics and trims which perfectly complement the golden fur. Limited Edition of 3 |
