17" Chubbs is a cuddly cub who gets his name from his delightfully chubby belly. His 5-way jointed roly-poly body is made from two colors of extra dense alpaca fur, a warm brown shade and light tan. The density of this fur is wonderful for the scissor sculpting Tami does on the bear's snout and for hugging---it is so cuddly. Chubbs has a carefully scissor sculpted snout, premium black glass eyes, an embroidered pearl cotton nose, and air brush detailing. He has a needle-sculpted, hand painted open mouth which has been a trade mark feature on many of Tami's bears since she first designed it in 1996. At the end of his gently curved arms and legs he has appliquéd, trapunto-sculpted paw pads made of soft ultrasuede. These are airbrush shaded for added depth. These time consuming techniques create a paw pad which not only looks real, but feels as if you are touching the soft paws of your cat or dog (or bear if you have one!) Chubbs is stuffed with a combination of polyfil and plastic pellets for just the right weight and a delightfully huggable feel. Limited Edition of 4 |
